For the Birds

As I mentioned yesterday, I have a bunch of these little doodles laying around.  Most of them have been scanned onto my computer and are just sitting there.

This one was an idea for a logo design project for an illustration class.

For some reason most sports teams seem to have a BIRD as their mascot(eagles, falcons, etc.)

This guy was some sort of OWL/HAWK combination with a shield in the background.  I left the sketch lines on this one to keep it a little edgier.  And because with no color, the inked lines just seem boring.

Squiddy

So much for staying caught up with this thing.  I have so many little doodles just laying around, only to look on here and realize its almost been a year since I've updated this thing.

Not sure if there is any backstory behind this guy.  Sometimes you start making shapes and they come out looking like this.  

Lets see if I can make posting on here more of a REGULAR habit.

Space Man

I haven't doodled in a while, I've been focused on other thing and the stuff that has been coming out hasn't really been worth much.  I drew this spaceman a while back.  My head has been in the clouds and this seemed like a good depiction of whats been going on with me lately.

I'll be putting some more stuff up soon as my schedule has started slowing down.  I have a lot of ideas roaming around in my head.

Also I have been very focused on sports lately.  I might be posting some of my thoughts on what is going on there too.  Stay tuned.

Nocturnals

This one is kind of an out there doodle.  There was sort of an idea about some biohazard freaks that were all genetic WEIRDOS.  The idea stuck for about an hour and I made a couple sketches and THIS ONE was probably my favorite.  It would be SUPER SICK to print this out BIG and PASTE it up somewhere, but I'm a sucker for half hearted ideas...

I really really like this sketch, so I didn't want to MESS with color too much.  Just some quick background SCRIBBLE in photoshop and it was ready to go.  I proclaim, there ain't nothing cooler than a MOOSEHEAD on a human body.  

monsters!!

I had an idea while watching SWAMP PEOPLE, about a guy who hunts SWAMP MONSTERS.  I thought it would be funny/cool at the same time.  Still kind of working out the IDEA but I think maybe it could be some kind of WEBCOMIC.  I will see how time goes and maybe I can get going on this SOON.

Bletch Monster

What could be more FUN to draw than a cute little spiky monster spitting (maybe throwing up) some guts and intestine WORM looking things.  Found the sketch in my notebook and decided to ink it.  That's really all there is to say about this one.

Girl Painting

I made this quick little doodle the other day, and quickly decided I wanted t turn it into a painting.

I decided to get some scrap wood from my garage and throw some paint on it real quick.  The whole thing took about a day total to complete and I am very pleased with the results.  It has already been claimed by my friends roommate.  

noms

I am a big fan of cute pictures and videos of baby cats.  Not a huge fan of real live cats, but silly videos of them make me HAPPY.  One of the reoccurring words in those videos and pictures and memes is noms, which means, to chew on or eat, or something like that.  In my head I sort of created an adorable little nugget creature called a nom.  

Naturally I decided to expand on the idea and flesh out what a nom would look like and came up with this little creature with a giant mouth and puffy tail.  The simple design is a lot of fun to play with, and I really like the opportunity the character could create as far as story line goes.
